Where have you interned during your college career? ZS Associates: Business Analyst Intern (Chicago)

Describe your dream job: I hope to one day start my own business, hopefully at the intersection of technology and business.

What did you enjoy most about majoring in a business-related field? I have immensely enjoyed the focus on applied learning and teamwork that has resonated throughout all of my business-related classes.

Where would you like to work after graduation? I will be working at ZS Associates as a Business Analyst (Consulting Vertical) in Chicago.

What are your long-term professional goals? I hope to have a large range of experiences, from starting my own company to leading a large technology company.

What was the happiest moment of your life? For my grandparents 50th anniversary, my entire extended family went on a vacation. I loved the opportunity to see so many family members all celebrating a monumental achievement.

Which academic or personal achievement are you most proud of? I am most proud of my time spent as President of Delta Sigma Pi.

What animal would you choose to represent your professional brand? I believe a Falcon closely represents my professional brand due to their exceptional vision and resilience.

Who would you most want to thank for your success? I would like to thank my high school theater director, Susie Allmendinger. She constantly pushed me to strive for perfection in everything I do.

Fun fact about yourself: I am part Mayan.

Favorite vacation spot: Rome

What are your hobbies? I enjoy trying new exotic foods, investing, photography, and watching movies, musicals, and theatrical plays.

What made Alex such an invaluable addition to the Class of 2016?

“Alex has been a tremendous leader both formally and informally during his time at Olin. He has led one of Olin’s most active student organizations and helped to foster a great sense of collaboration between Olin’s student groups. Alex has been involved in our undergraduate student government and as our student representative for the undergraduate curriculum committee. Alex was instrumental in assembling student focus groups and gathering feedback during our curriculum revisions.”
