Do you believe the business degree was worth its time in cost and tuition?

520241473Along with the inevitable anxiety, there’s an undeniable excitement when a candidate begins his or her search for college. But there is also the matter-of-fact issue of how much will it cost. Tuition and fees at most of these schools range between $50,000 to $65,000 a year. That’s no small investment for either a student or parents.

So you want to make sure that you’re getting your money’s worth. That is why we asked alumni, many of whom of course do not fully share the cost burden, whether the business degree they received was worth its time in cost and tuition. The top five scoring schools on this question are, in order, Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Business, Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, the University of Texas-Austin McCombs School of Business, James Madison University’s College of Business, and University of Notre Dame Mendoza College of Business. On our ten-point scale, undergraduate programs scored between 9.82 and 8.13, with an average score of 9.0, a fairly affirmative “yes, it was well worth it.”.
