“I studied in Madrid, Spain! I knew that I wanted to study in a Spanish-speaking country and live with a Spanish host family, which is why I chose Madrid. I loved studying abroad with Olin because every day was a new adventure. I felt at home in Madrid and was also able to travel the world, an experience I probably won’t have in life again for a very long time.”

Majors: Finance and Entrepreneurship

“I chose Hong Kong because I wanted to experience a whole new culture, one that was foreign to my background and experience. I figured this would help me learn more about myself, grow as a person, and still have a blast. Hong Kong is studying abroad on ‘expert mode’ but it’s a lot of fun and offers a lot of personal growth, all while learning about an amazing culture!”

Daniel Selzer, Class of 2018

Majors: Accounting & Finance

Minor: Political Science

“I studied in Singapore because I really wanted to go to Asia and get to explore that region of the world. The Singapore program specifically intrigued me because I was able to take all my classes Tuesday and Wednesday and travel the other five days of the week. Singapore was a great place to study because it is itself such a mix of cultures (Chinese, Malay, Indian, Western) and is a great launching off point to explore Southeast Asian.”

Elizabeth Liechti, Class of 2018

Majors: OSCM & Marketing

Minor: Psychology

“I studied abroad in Paris last spring and it was the best time of my life! I choose Paris because I knew a little bit of French and wanted to experience a culture that wasn’t entirely similar to my own, but also one in which I could find similarities. I also love desserts, fashion, and history so Paris was a perfect place for me to be. Studying with Olin was great for me because I was able to continue my business classes abroad and have those credits transfer back to WashU. One of my favorite experiences was when Dean Malter came to Paris and took me and the other 14 students on the program out for a wonderful three course French meal!”
