Report Card: How Alumni Grade Undergrad Biz Programs

How would you appraise the effectiveness of the business program’s career advising?

Similar to academic advising, career advising got lower scores compared to other aspects of our alumni survey. In this category, Virginia’s McIntire School and The College of William & Mary tied for the top sot, earning 9.4 each. The 9.4 was just barely enough to top last year’s first place school in the category — Indiana’s Kelley School of Business, which scored 9.39. Up next was another tie with Notre Dame’s Mendoza College and Seton Hall’s Stillman School each earning 9.35. Georgia Tech’s Scheller College rounded out the top five, scoring 9.25.

With an overall average of 8.32, again, akin to academic advising, career advising is one of the lower rated aspects across all schools and in a place where schools could look to improve their programming. Some 23 schools scored lower than 8.0 and only a dozen schools scored at least 9.0 or higher.
