Report Card: How Alumni Grade Undergrad Biz Programs

How would you judge the business program’s alumni network and connections that can help you throughout your career?

When it comes to alumni networks, one school stands above the rest this year. The University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business finishes atop the list with a score of 9.85. The next school? Boston College’s Carroll School of Management at 9.48. The pack tightens at that point with Michigan’s Ross School scoring 9.47 and Texas A&M University’s Mays School of Business scoring 9.46. Virginia’s McIntire School rounds out the top five with a score of 9.42. Last year, Wharton took the top spot with a 9.66 average, but this year’s Wharton class gave the school an average of 9.4, good enough for sixth place in the category.

Across all 88 schools, the average was 8.17, an uptick to last year’s total average of 8.12. Of those 88, 15 earned a score of 9.0 or higher. However, 35 schools earned less than 8.0, which includes eight scoring less than 7.0.
