Who is your favorite professor? My favorite professor is Pinderjeet Gill because I have had her for three semesters and she has been extremely encouraging for my YouTube channel. She also helps me improve upon my Hindi and gives me extra articles outside of the required course curriculum. Basically, she goes above-and-beyond to consistently help me.

What did you enjoy most about your business school? I really enjoy the alumni network that the business school has to offer. The business school places a great emphasis on allowing the students to connect with alumni. Last summer, I interned in Mumbai, India and was able to utilize the Ross Entertainment network to obtain an internship at a reputable entertainment firm there.

What is the biggest lesson you gained from studying business? The biggest lesson I learned from studying business was to focus on improving myself and I also learned how to brand myself. What made Sachit such an invaluable addition to the Class of 2020?

“The first time I became aware of Sachit as being a stand-out student was during his selection of his minors. In the Office of Undergraduate Programs, we often talk about how business skills can enhance effectiveness in any field. We also are proponents of exploring other disciplines by course sampling and minors. Having two minors in the arts makes Sachit a wonderful example of a student pursuing his personal artistic interests with the Ross BBA.

This year, a form with Sachit’s name on it crossed my desk. He was applying for an arts-related opportunity in India and I took this opportunity to meet with him on multiple occasions. Getting to know Sachit was energizing. His sincerity and personal drive are models for other students. He is a quiet leader among his peers, and I am not entirely sure Sachit is fully aware of this. His confidence in his pursuits and his exceptionally welcoming communication style help other students succeed.

Sachit’s focus on marketing and acting make his career pursuits a bit unexpected at Ross. Therefore, his certain success will prove to be an example for many students in subsequent years. Sachit’s willingness to consider a postgraduate gap year to pursue his passion is another reason he is an example for young people driven by personal development and serving others.”
