Gies Ranked #8 Public Business School

Gies College of Business is once again ranked as a Top 10 public undergraduate business program in the nation, according to the latest rankings released by Poets&Quants. Gies Business was ranked #8 among public business schools and rose two spots to #17 overall. The publication takes into consideration factors such as admissions standards, the college experience, and career outcomes.

Gies is committed to delivering an unparalleled student experience for both undergraduate and graduate students. The College is one of a select few schools requiring every student to take a full year of business analytics courses their sophomore year; they can they choose to go even deeper into that through their majors. Additionally, Gies is the only school in which every undergraduate student will do a live experiential learning project with a company. Working with an interdisciplinary team on a project for an actual client enables them to not only learn the application of business skills, but also learn business acumen, effective communication, and how to identify or clarify the nature of a problem.

As part of Gies’ recently revamped its core curriculum, each student will also participate in four years of cohort courses, which keeps each class together through a series of classes focused on professional responsibility, business simulations, experiential learning, and the global dynamics of business. Gies prepares each student with valuable experiential learning and data analytics skills so they are prepared to succeed in their careers from day one.
