Babson College Unifies Summer Portfolio With New Programs For High Schoolers And Undergrads

The Arthur M. Blank Center for Entrepreneurship at Babson College anchors the school’s new Summer at Babson portfolio, including expanded pre-college programming for aspiring young entrepreneurs.

Babson College is bundling its summer offerings into a single brand, expanding options for high schoolers all the way to working professionals.

The Wellesley, Massachusetts-based school this month launched Summer at Babson, a unified portfolio of entrepreneurial programs aimed at high school students, current undergraduates, educators, athletes, and working professionals. The initiative brings together new and existing summer experiences under one umbrella, all built around Babson’s Entrepreneurial Thought & Action methodology and its emphasis on hands-on, applied learning.

“Summer at Babson reflects our commitment to lifelong learning and meeting learners where they are,” President Stephen Spinelli Jr. MBA’92, PhD says in a release. “These programs give students the opportunity to explore ideas, take action, and build real-world skills — whether they’re considering college, launching a venture, or preparing for what’s next in their careers.”

BLANK SCHOOL PROGRAM TARGETS RISING HIGH SCHOOLERS

The headline addition is the Arthur M. Blank School Summer Program, a new suite of more than 50 non-credit courses aimed at rising high school juniors and seniors. Delivered over four weeks by Babson faculty and industry practitioners, the program offers residential, commuter, and online formats designed to let students customize their summer experience.

Students who complete courses earn a digital Babson credential they can share on LinkedIn, resumes, or college applications. Applications are now open.

The goal is earlier exposure to entrepreneurial thinking. “The Blank School Summer Program invites high school students to explore ideas, take action, and experience the kind of hands-on learning that builds confidence and curiosity about what’s possible,” says Donna Levin, CEO of the Blank School.

The new offering joins Babson’s existing Summer Study for High School Students (Youth Impact Lab) — a credit-bearing residential program run with the New England Innovation Academy — along with pre-college options such as Bank on It: A Babson Financial Literacy Experience, the college’s summer sports camps, and its Youth Entrepreneurship Bootcamp in Miami.

NEW INTENSIVE FOR CURRENT STUDENTS

Summer at Babson also introduces a Summer Intensive Program for current Babson undergraduates as well as students from other colleges. The residential experience combines credit-bearing coursework with professional development, networking, and community-building activities.

The broader portfolio continues to include established programs such as the Summer Venture ProgramBabson Buildand online Summer Session courses for college students, alumni, and visiting learners.

“Community is at the core of what we create at Babson,” said Caitlin Capozzi, vice president of Learner Success and dean of Campus Life. “I am glad that new populations of learners will have the opportunity to be part of our community and experience what we offer through Summer at Babson programming.”
