Who is your favorite professor? My favorite professor is Smrity Randhawa, who teaches at the Leventhal School of Accounting. Professor Randhawa has been a crucial mentor who has taught me so many things about business and life. She is able to get on the same level as her students and connect, and I try to emulate that as a mentor.

What is the biggest lesson you gained from studying business? I have learned that being inclusive and welcoming encourages some of the best business outcomes: diversity, innovation, and great teams.

What advice would you give to a student looking to major in a business-related field? Business is such a vague term! If you’re considering business as a major, think about the many times you’ve walked into a business and thought, “Wow, this is awesome!” There’s a lot of room for creativity; your uniqueness is your best asset.

What has surprised you most about majoring in business? Business majors are all often pursuing so many different jobs and roles, but there’s always one thing in common;: we all view the world so much more broadly as we develop our business acumen.

Looking back over your experience, what is the one thing you’d do differently in business school and why? If I could do undergraduate business school again, I would try to bring in more college credits from high school so that I could explore more. Many classes I thought I wouldn’t love have opened my eyes to new ideas and connections.

What business executive do you admire most? I find small business owners to be the most inspirational people. Of those that I have had the privilege to meet or work with, I have found that they are constantly making the hard decisions necessary to fuel their passions. I want to carry that sense of purpose with me everywhere I go.

Which academic, extracurricular or personal achievement are you most proud of? I can’t pick between my top 2. I have loved being a mentor for freshman accounting students each year at USC, and working as a volunteer tutor at the Wooten Center (a SoCal community center). There’s nothing more rewarding than passing on lessons and experiences, and I constantly learn new tips and tricks from working with younger students.

Which classmate do you most admire? I have really enjoyed learning with Shyra Alam, a fellow accounting major and also a senior. I see her consistently challenge herself to do her best in every class and on every assignment without forgetting to enjoy the moment and the people around her.

Who would you most want to thank for your success? I would love to thank each and every single peer, professor, USC staff member, and professional I have met during my years at USC. I have been able to pick and choose smart habits and advice from each person that have helped me get where I am today. Further, I want to thank my close college friends for helping me recognize that I am good enough just the way I am.

What are the top two items on your professional bucket list?

1. Be a positive influence on as many lives as I can.
2. Show others that appreciating our differences is often what brings us closer together.

What are your hobbies?

Athletics: Running, football, track & field

Getting outside: Travel, hiking, bouldering

Creating: Woodwork, digital art, painting/drawing, programming
