Consultant Bio
Nour is originally from the Washington DC area, home of the 17 year cyclic cicadas that she is so passionate about. From a young age, her interests in crafting mud pies led her to an overall desire to create with her hands, first through baking, and later through the study of chemistry. She graduated from Harvard with a joint bachelor’s degree in chemistry and anthropology. Her senior thesis combined the two fields through a study of animal remains from the ancient Mayan site of Copán. She also wrote an opinion column for the Harvard Crimson, titled “Nostalgia: What’s it Hiding?”, conducted research in organic chemistry and in scientific archaeology, and could frequently be found at the Dunster House Grille crafting the very thickest milkshakes in the evenings. Throughout college, mentorship and leadership were some of her top priorities, especially for first-year students, musicians of the Harvard Wind Ensemble, and Boston-area high schoolers. When she is not waiting for insects to emerge again, she can be found answering Jeopardy questions, baking (still!), and hopefully working towards a pilot license in the near future. Be sure to ask her about her favorite political scandals if you ever have a few hours to spare!
