CAREER-FOCUSED BUSINESS EDUCATION

The Robert B. Willumstad School of Business distinguishes itself through a comprehensive approach to career readiness and personalized education. Central to this is the Willumstad Winning Edge program, which became mandatory for all students starting in Fall 2023. This initiative offers a structured six-step approach to career preparation, covering tech credentialing, career guidance, innovative academics, leadership training, networking, and personalized learning.

Students benefit from both a career-readiness advisor and a faculty advisor, ensuring tailored support throughout their academic journey. Active participants in the Winning Edge program are guaranteed mentorships, job shadowing experiences, or internships, providing invaluable hands-on learning opportunities.

HANDS-ON LEARNING

In addition to the Winning Edge program, the school has introduced two one-credit courses focusing on problem-solving and consulting, further enhancing students’ practical skills. The curriculum is designed to offer flexibility and breadth, allowing students to tailor their education to their career aspirations.

Notably, the school offers an accelerated three-year business degree track, enabling motivated students to expedite their education and enter the workforce sooner.

The Willumstad School provides a diverse portfolio of business majors, including Accounting, Business Economics, Ethics and Public Policy, Finance, Human Resource Management, Information Systems, Management, and Marketing. This variety ensures that students can align their studies with their specific interests and career goals.
