Snoop Dogg Is Adding “Commencement Speaker” To His Resume

It’s not every day you see the name “Snoop Dogg” appear on Poets&Quants. For the first time, beloved rap legend, actor, tv show host, entrepreneur, and cookbook author, Snoop Dog can add “commencement speaker” to his resume.

This year, Billboard announced that those at USC Marshall School of Business will have the pleasure of listening to words of wisdom from the D-O-double G himself.

“I am deeply honored to join USC Marshall’s commencement in celebrating the remarkable achievements of these graduates,” said Snoop Dogg. “Commencement is not just a milestone — it’s a launching point. It’s about stepping into your purpose, applying what you’ve learned, and making an impact that matters.”

Snoop Dogg continues, saying he looks forward to welcoming this group into the next chapter of their journeys as future leaders.

WORDS FROM THE “DOGG-FATHER OF COOL”

This will be Snoop Dogg’s second time speaking at USC this year. He was invited to speak in The Entrepreneur as a Brand discussion with Albert Napoli, senior lecturer of clinical entrepreneurship, as part of Napoli’s class.

Napoli called him the ‘Dogg-father of Cool, saying he’s also a passionate and highly successful entrepreneur with a recognizable brand that speaks to a diverse range of demographics.

Snoop’s not the only big star gracing the commencement stages across the country this year. Kermit the Frog will charm graduates at the University of Maryland, honoring his creator Jim Henson and Derek Jeter, the legendary Yankees captain and Hall of Famer, will speak to students at the University of Michigan. Northwestern University also has invited Steve Carell to speak – iconic actor and comedian known for his role in The Office.
