COMPREHENSIVE CURRICULUM
The Lacy School of Business offers a robust curriculum that integrates experiential learning from the outset. Students can pursue majors in Accounting, Business Technology and Analytics, Economics, Entrepreneurship & Innovation, Finance, International Business, Marketing, Risk Management & Insurance, and Supply Chain. This diverse array of programs ensures that students can tailor their education to align with their career aspirations.
A hallmark of the Lacy School’s approach is its emphasis on practical experience. All business students complete two internships for academic credit, and Butler builds that hands-on model into the core through First-Year Business Experience, Real Business Experience, and a structured four-year career development program with a personal career mentor.
Additionally, extracurricular and co-curricular opportunities such as student-run ventures, the student-managed investment fund, and career treks to places like Wall Street, Detroit, and Chicago give students more chances to test classroom learning in live business settings.
CURRICULUM ENHANCEMENTS
In response to evolving industry demands, the Lacy School launched its Supply Chain major in fall 2025, giving students a program that pairs analytics with supply chain management in one of the nation’s key logistics hubs.
The school’s global offerings have also expanded. International Business is now a listed undergraduate major, and Butler has also introduced Butler Overseas, a three-year program spanning six continents in which students can earn a degree in International Business. Those updates sit alongside continued investment in Butler’s signature experiential model, including refreshed entrepreneurship programming and internship coursework.
