Schools With The Best Campus Food

The “Freshman 15” is, for many, a far-fetched and unrealistic expression for the weight gained during the first year of college. But at some schools, the tantalizing food might make it more likely than others.

The Princeton Review recently published its “Best Colleges” guide for high school students. This year’s edition is based on surveys of 138,000 students at 384 schools to determine which schools top the rest in dorms, food, health services, and more.

For the second year in a row, the University of Massachusetts-Amherst scored the number one spot for “best campus food.”

EAST COAST SCHOOLS DOMINATE THE TOP-10

The top contenders are mainly unchanged from last year, with every school from last year’s “best campus food” list making the top 10 again this year.

One thing that’s interesting to note is that the top 10 schools for “best campus food” are mostly concentrated on the East Coast. Only two schools in the top-10 are west of the Mississippi River, and they just barely are — St. Olaf College just south of Minneapolis and Washington University in St. Louis, just a few miles west of the river.
