Where have you interned during your college career? Deloitte: Artificial Intelligence & Operations Intern during Summer 2019

Where will you be working after graduation? I am choosing between two job offers very soon: Accenture Tech Consulting in Los Angeles or Google as a Project Manager.

What company do you admire the most? Google. They celebrate diversity and provide technology and access to underdeveloped regions around the world.

Who is your favorite professor? Dr. Huber is my favorite professor. He helped me immensely during my interview process for Google. He was also very flexible with me during full-time interviews in the fall when I had to travel almost every week. He genuinely cares about the success of his students.

What did you enjoy most about your business school? There are so many opportunities to get involved and advance yourself professionally as well as personally. Terry does an amazing job of allowing students to land a great job after graduation.

What is the biggest lesson you gained from studying business? Who you know and how they know you go further than just what you know in this life.

What advice would you give to a student looking to major in a business-related field? Find your passion and chase after it wholeheartedly. Success is not a one-stop shop. To achieve excellence, one must fail first. Life is all about learning.

What has surprised you most about majoring in business? I had the preconceived notion that all Terry majors were stuck up. That is completely false. In fact, most of my friends come from Terry and are some of the best people I have met on campus.

Which academic, extracurricular or personal achievement are you most proud of? I am most proud of advancing past final round interviews with my dream company: Google. I am very passionate about this because I studied night-and-day to prepare and knew how small the chances were.

Which classmate do you most admire? I most admire Sheweat Laine. Sheweat Laine is a fourth-year Management Information Systems major who will be working for Deloitte in NYC this fall. She inspires me to be greater and continue raising the bar in every endeavor I pursue. She is the embodiment of a boss.

Who would you most want to thank for your success? I would love to thank God first and foremost. I have to stay grounded in my faith because without Him, I would not be here.

What are the top two items on your professional bucket list?

  1. I will become a successful entrepreneur
  2. I will mentor the youth one day on how to accomplish some of their dreams. What is success without giving back?

What are your hobbies? Trying new foods, working out, thrifting, watching movies, etc.

What made Godswill such an invaluable addition to the Class of 2020?

“I met Godswill when he was competitively selected as a Terry Ambassador. Godswill exceeded expectations and made a positive impact through hosting college events and giving tours to prospective students, their parents, donors, alumni, and employers. He consistently went the extra mile with interested students by offering to answer questions and provide feedback on involvement opportunities. I work closely with Godswill on a frequent basis and through this interaction recognize his ability to build relationships and add value to the lives of others.

During his time at the University of Georgia, Godswill has proven himself an outgoing student with a focus on achieving his educational goals while gaining knowledge and leadership skills through meaningful internships, corporate leadership programs, college and university-wide engagement, and community service. Godswill is a proven leader and demonstrates commitment and initiative through his dedication to Terry and UGA by involvement as a Terry Ambassador and as a member of UGA’s Student Alumni Council. Godswill is outgoing, professional and poised. His ability to influence others is evident through his selection as a Terry College of Business Deer Run Fellow and as the Vice-President of the Black Male Leadership Society. As evident, Godswill has had an invaluable impact on students and alumni throughout the Terry College of Business and UGA.  He will graduate with a degree in MIS and is currently considering several fulltime employment offers.”
