Calling All Innovators For This Year’s Cambridge Judge Social Innovation Prize
This year will mark the sixth year for the Cambridge Social Innovation Prize, and the business Cambridge Judge Business School is inviting students to apply today.
They’re looking for mid-career social innovators in the UK with a proven track record and a deep commitment to their mission – and there can be more than one winner. In 2023, they awarded their prize to five students.
PAST AWARD WINNERS
Past Cambridge Social Innovation Prize winners include Daryl Chambers, who founded InPower Academy CIC to promote social change through martial arts, Camilla Rigby and Rachel Mostyn, who co-founded Women’s Work Lab CIC to support unemployed mothers, and Liz Dennis, who co-founded the Filo Project to provide day care for dementia patients.
This year, the winners will earn a £10,000 cash award for development opportunities, expert mentoring from Cambridge Social Ventures at the CCSI, and access to a thriving network of social innovators at Trinity Hall.
Judge gets it—many social entrepreneurs, deeply dedicated to their missions, often don’t have the time and resources for personal growth, and this award intends to help empower winners to unlock their full potential and make an even bigger difference.
Regarding the winners, Nicole Helwig, Executive Director of the Cambridge Centre for Social Innovation says,
“The Cambridge Social Innovation Prize celebrates visionary social entrepreneurs tackling significant and complex social challenges across UK society. Social innovation thrives on the creativity and commitment of people from all walks of life. We welcome applications from a diversity of innovators, recognizing that lived experience often drives the expertise and passion needed to create meaningful change.”
