Their study looked at the number of staff, faculty, students on campus relative to the square miles that a campus covered. The results? Seven of the most concentrated universities were found in Europe.
ROME, MANCHESTER, AND EDINBURGH
Sapienza University of Rome ranked as the most crowded, with a staggering 704,946 people per square mile, followed by the University of Manchester with 427,62 people, and finally the University of Edinburgh with 388,002. It’s safe to say if a bustling university environment is what you value, these three would be perfect options.
Among American Universities, Harvard came in as the most crowded (No. 7 overall) with a density of 50.8K people per square mile, and UCLA was next in No. 8 with a population density of 48.5K.
