How IIM Sambalpur Is Shaping India’s Future
What is Viksit Bharat? It is India’s big-picture vision for the future of their country. Picture a full-scale transformation plan, in which the country becomes a developed nation by 2047, their 100th anniversary of independence.
That energy was front and center at IIM Sambalpur’s flagship talk show, Ideas Matter Most, held in August 2025. The theme was, “Navigating the Intersection of Tech & Entrepreneurship Towards Viksit Bharat @ 2047.” Over two days, the campus buzzed with conversations that were anything but theoretical. Founders, policymakers, educators, and media voices came together to talk strategy, scale, and the kind of ideas that are transformational.
Every idea matters to make a big impact,” said Pranav Kumar, the visionary behind Ideas Matter Most. And he meant it. The event was all about research-driven entrepreneurship, leadership rooted in values, and the untapped potential of India’s youth. With the right tools and platforms, the country’s demographic could be their superpower.
Professor Mahadeo Jaiswal, Director of IIM Sambalpur touched on the school’s role to make this happen. “Designing and hosting high-impact discussions reflects our commitment to innovation,” he said. “Making knowledge accessible through podcasts and articles mirrors our focus on inclusiveness… and collaborative partnerships reinforce the principle of integrity.”
The event drew an energetic crowd over the course of two days – students, policy makers, entrepreneurs, innovators, academics, and media voices all came together with real enthusiasm. They had voices ranging from Rajya Sabha leaders to BBC journalists. For IIM Sambalpur, this was the beginning of a movement in the making. All-in-all, they hope that Ideas Matter Most could become one of India’s go-to platforms for bold thinking and fresh perspectives planning for the future.
