VAULT CONSULTING 25: EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST, AND AFRICA (EMEA)

The Boston Consulting Group may own bragging rights in North Africa, but Bain & Company continues to set the standard across the pond.

In Europe, Bain ranks as the top consulting firm, posting a 9.017 average. This score was down .180 of a point from the previous year. It was also lower than Bain’s scores in North America (9.221) and Asia (9.06).

Like North America, Vault’s EMEA ranking weighs the same consultant survey dimensions in the same weights.

Here, Bain & Company ranked as the top consulting firm in six dimensions. While none of them factored into the methodology, Bain also posted the second-highest averages in five dimensions, including Firm Culture, Level of Challenge, and Overall Satisfaction. These dimensions combined for 40% of the weight. By the same token, Bain placed 3rd in another five dimensions, with Compensation and Work-Life Balance swinging another 20% in Bain’s favor. On top of that, the firm ranked 3rd for Prestige for EMEA. Considering that McKinsey and BCG opted not to participate in EMEA, Bain technically ranked 1st for Prestige.

Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Oliver Wynam again ranked 2nd and 3rd respectively in the Vault EMEA Consulting 25 Ranking. The former finished among the Top 5 in 15-of-19 dimensions, including 2nd for Compensation. In contrast, Oliver Wynam ranked 4th for Prestige in the EMEA theater.

In addition, Alvarez and Marsal climbed from 11th to 6th in 2025. Stax also made its debut at 9th – despite ranking 1st in 12 Work ad Life Dimensions.
