VAULT CONSULTLING 20: ASIA-PACIFIC

In some ways, you could argue that Bain & Company was the big winner in the Vault Consulting Rankings in 2025. While Bain slipped to 2nd in North America, the firm tightened its grip on the #1 spot in Asia and Europe.

In many ways, Bain’s performance in the Asia-Pacific theater mirrored its EMEA dominance. In Europe, .765 of a point separated Bain from its nearest rival. In the Asia-Pacific theater, the gap was .763 of a point. Like Europe, Bain ranks behind just McKinsey and BCG for Prestige. The real difference: Bain posted 17-of-the-19 highest scores in the Qualify of Work and Life Dimensions – nearly three times as many as Europe.

And Bain achieved this all this following the same methodology that governed North America and EMEA too:

30% Prestige
15% Culture
15% Overall Satisfaction
10% Compensation
10% Work-Life Balance
10% Level of Challenge
5%   Overall Business Outlook
5%   Promotion Policies

In the Asia-Pacific, Kearney (again) served as Bain’s runner-up, improving its score by .069 of a point along the way. The firm ranked among the Top 5 in 17-of-19 dimensions (and 6th in the remaining two), topping out at #2 for Compensation, Firm Culture, Level of Challenge, and Overall Satisfaction. What’s more, Kearney finished just behind Bain for Prestige. Such performance makes many Kearney consultants bullish on their futures according to Vault survey.

“The market is still down, but we’re still growing,” crows one survey respondent.

Roland Berger Strategy Consultants and Oliver Wyman finished 3rd and 4th in 2025, a juxtaposition of their 2024 Vault 20 Asia-Pacific ranking. Arthur D. Little moved from 8th to 5th, while Viscadia Private Limited climbed from 16th to 10th. In addition, BPM Advisory debuted at 9th.
