Describe your dream Job: My dream job would be directing an honors college program, similar to my experience, where students have an international focus; or as a part of the International Olympic Committee, preparing a city to host the Olympics; or working in athlete relations before, during, and after the Olympics.
Which executive or entrepreneur do you most admire? This past semester, I had the opportunity to meet and be mentored by Daniel Myers, the Executive Vice President of Global Supply Chain of Mondelez International. He encouraged me to live a balanced life, to care about the people around me, and to walk through doors that are offered to me. After interacting with him, I was completely overwhelmed by his authenticity, infectious joy, and wisdom through his many years of experience.
What did you enjoy most about majoring in a business-related field? My favorite part about a major in the Haslam College of Business was the various core classes that provide a foundation in each of the subject areas. Not only were we exposed to different fundamental ideas, but also different perspectives from the professors’ ways of thinking about, experience in, and view of business.
What is the biggest lesson you gained from studying business? Every person in the world is interconnected and interdependent. Because of this fact, we must develop strong relationships with those we work with and more importantly, trust each other.
Where would you like to work after graduation? Upon graduation I will be working for Procter & Gamble, with the role to be determined.
What are your long-term professional goals? I want to serve as a mentor and an upper level manager at a company where I love the work I’m doing. I would like to return to school for my MBA and then again to be a professor or director of an honors business international program.

“Before I entered business school, I wish I had known…the importance of networking with those in my classes earlier on. Each person brings such a different perspective and experience to the classroom. By getting to know more people in your classes, the more you will learn about your major, various aspects of industry, and how best to work on teams.”
What was the happiest moment of your life? Stepping into the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, Greece. At that moment, I realized this was the location of the 1st Olympics. All my years of playing sports, watching the Olympics, and studying abroad came together to remind me how much I love the bind that sports creates across cultures.
Which academic, extracurricular or personal achievement are you most proud of? Being accepted into the Haslam College of Business Global Leadership Scholars (GLS) Program is an academic and personal achievement that I am most proud of. GLS is a selective business program for honors business students interested in a rigorous, community-based learning environment. I am proud of this achievement because, as a freshman, the GLS selection committee saw a future business leader with academic and leadership potential. With that potential, I was given the opportunity to grow and develop.
What animal would you choose to represent your professional brand? A dog best represents my personal brand because of the dog’s devotion to their work and motivation for success, while also having an authentic enthusiasm, energy, and kindness towards people. Naturally, I step into the leadership role looking for ways to organize a team to do the best work possible, but when necessary I follow others who have a better suited strength to reach a goal. I like to work on teams and am willing to work hard to achieve any goal set.
Who would you most want to thank for your success? UT professors and the Haslam College of Business’ Global Leadership Scholars Program – No one in my family is in the business field, so stepping into the Haslam College of Business was a bit of a leap. It took me awhile to be grounded and feel comfortable in classrooms where course concepts were completely new to me. Thankfully, from day one, the professors want to engage us and help us feel at home here on Rocky Top. By doing so, I wanted to get involve in business-affiliated organizations and programs that would support, guide, and challenge me to achieve. Because of the Global Leadership Scholars Program, I was surrounded by motivated, academically-minded students who wanted to learn, grow, and become the best version of themselves each day, which is exactly what I wanted to do as well. By having discussion-based classes where we dove deep into the course material and a study abroad semester as a community, these experiences helped me develop professionally, personally, and as a leader. Ultimately, my college career and knowledge is attributed to the many professors who shared their wisdom, experience, and advice as well as to the GLS directors and students who encouraged, supported, and helped me achieve a job with my dream company.
What would you like your business school peers to say about you after you graduate from this program? Above all, I would like for my business school peers to say that I always cared about those around me. What they are doing, how they are doing, and willing to lend a helping hand when needed. I was always ready to provide advice and information, serving as a resource for on campus involvement or tutor for those with academic questions. I would like for them to say that I was incredibly hard-working and devoted to succeed in and out of the classroom, while also encouraging, supporting, and helping those around me do the same. Most importantly, I hope my peers say that I was valuable in their learning, growth (personally and professionally), and teamwork.
