Describe your dream job: Starting a tutoring business. I am a tutor and career peer coach at Ross and I have found it to be an incredibly fulfilling and rewarding experience. Being able to see students progress academically and in their careers truly shows the impact one can have on the people around them.
What did you enjoy most about majoring in a business-related field? What I enjoy most about majoring in a business-related field is how applicable the knowledge is that we learn in the classroom to real-world jobs. Going through cases in classes that highlight the core concepts of key subjects and working in group projects in every class really provide a good insight into what the working world looks like, something I truly appreciated as I went through my internships over the past few summers.
Where would you like to work after graduation? I will be returning to Goldman Sachs in Private Wealth Management.
What are your long-term professional goals? My long-term professional goals are to go back to school and get an MBA, and then potentially work in venture capital or become a Private Wealth Advisor. In either role, it is an opportunity to constant learn and see the impact of the work I do, whether it is helping individuals reach their financial wealth goals or helping businesses with brilliant ideas get the opportunities needed to lead innovation.

What was the happiest moment of your life? The happiest moment of my life was when I got my first job offer through internship recruiting my junior year. Recruiting can be an incredibly challenging process and it really makes you learn a lot about who you are and what your strengths and weaknesses are. Getting my first offer (which ended up being my internship for the summer and now full-time role) helped me see my hard work pay off and truly was a rewarding experience.
Which academic or personal achievement are you most proud of? A personal and academic achievement I am most proud of is graduating in the top 1% of my grade in high school. Over my four years in high school, I worked relentlessly to be successful both inside and outside the classroom, challenging myself is several ways. Being able to remain focused and know my end goal to have that honor and actually achieve it was an experience that really allowed me to end up wrapping up my senior year in the best way possible.
What animal would you choose to represent your professional brand? According to a recent Buzzfeed quiz regarding professional spirit animals, mine is a Teacup Pig. As the description goes, “You are efficient and evenly tempered. Everyone probably loves working with you because of your can-do attitude and constant positivity.” Those are attributes that relate to how I am in a professional setting, so I must therefore give Buzzfeed credibility on the matter and conclude that a Teacup Pig the best animal to describe my professional brand.
Who would you most want to thank for your success? I want to thank my parents the most for my success in both my personal and professional life. They have always been encouraging and supportive of the decisions I make, while pushing me to be better and find new opportunities to grow.
Fun fact about yourself: I have been to India 12 times and have traveled to the Himalayan Mountains

“Reetika has been a positive voice and leader within the Ross community from day one Orientation, when I first met her. She promptly applied for and was invited to serve on our academic advisory committee where she has proven her leadership abilities and commitment to the Ross and UM community. Her input has directly shaped and guided improvements in several of our core classes and has offered keen insights on how to improve the student experience at Ross.
