Georgetown University’s McDonough School’s 2025 Undergraduate Employment Report just dropped and the school had great outcomes for their graduating class once again. The Class of 2025 carried last year’s momentum forward and raised the bar even higher.

The class earned an average full‑time salary of $102,780, topping last year’s record of $100,733. Their average signing bonus hit $9,995, and 74% of students received one, up from 70% the year before. As for job placement rate, a whole 97% of job seeking students received an offer within three months of graduation, continuing McDonough’s streak of near‑universal employment.

“Our goal is not only to help students secure their first job, but to prepare them for purposeful and successful careers that align with their interests,” says Talia Schatz, Assistant Dean of Undergraduate Career Services. “The Class of 2025 demonstrated how a Georgetown education, grounded in rigorous academics, experiential learning, and a commitment to service, equips graduates to translate their talents into meaningful work across industries.”

THEIR TOP INDUSTRY CHOICES

The industry breakdown shows just how competitive this class was.

Finance was the leading industry choice, drawing 59% of graduates. Consulting attracted 20%, with the rest heading into accounting, real estate, retail, and tech‑related roles. McDonough graduates were hired by Bain, BCG, McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, Evercore, Blackstone, Morgan Stanley, PwC, UBS, and many others.

A big part of the success with job placements comes from the school’s emphasis on real‑world experience. A solid 95% of students completed at least one internship, often with the same firms that later hired them full‑time.

The internship list ranges from Bank of America and Blackstone to Evercore, Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, PwC, TikTok, and Uber.

Adding to the mix of networking and field experiences, McDonough offers more real‑world exposure through their Career Treks, Fridays in the Field, Sophomore Summit, Etiquette Dinners, and Focused Bootcamps in Finance and Consulting. Together, these opportunities are part of the reasons why grads land careers right out of the gate.
