Two Degrees And Two Continents: Schulich & Esade Launch Dual BBA Program
For business students with a passport and a desire to truly get a global business perspective, a new academic adventure awaits, brough to you by the Schulich School of Business in Toronto and Esade Business School in Barcelona.
Schulich announced on Yahoo! that the two have joined forces to launch their Dual Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree — a four-year, two-continent experience. Schulich offers year-round programs at its campus at York University and its downtown Toronto hub and Esade has campuses in Barcelona and Madrid.
Starting in Fall 2026, students will have the opportunity to earn two business degrees – one from Schulich and one from Esade.
TWO DEGREES, TWO COUNTIRES
The first half of the program takes place at the student’s home institution (either of the two schools), followed by two years at the partner school.
A good number of other universities offer successful programs similar to this in structure. One such program is the Joint Bachelor’s Degree between City University of Hong Kong and Columbia University, where students earn two undergraduate degrees while living and learning in both Hong Kong and New York. Another is the well renown World Bachelor in Business (WBB) program where students live in three continents in the span of four years and earn three business degrees from USC, HKUST, and Bocconi University.
“This dual degree marks an important step in expanding international opportunities for our undergraduate students,” said Detlev Zwick, Dean of the Schulich School of Business. “It will provide globally minded students with the chance to study across two continents, gaining perspectives that will prepare them to lead in a diverse and complex global environment.”
Over at Esade, Dean of Esade Business School Joan Rodon adds, “Students will share an academic experience that broadens their personal and professional horizons, enhances their employability, and helps them develop the competencies needed to contribute to organizations and society.”
