TOP EMPLOYERS FOR TECH TALENT

On the list of the top 50 tech employers, the usual players are all there – think Apple, Amazon, and Dell. But there are interesting surprises as giants in other industries beef up their tech capabilities.

“The inclusion of Deloitte, Accenture and PricewaterhouseCoopers on the list could be evidence that some of the larger consulting firms are shifting their model to bring certain tech roles, such as software development and engineering work in house,” the report states. “Companies like Disney, Bank of America and Pearson are all recruiting technologists in large numbers. And despite talks of layoffs and hiring freezes, traditional tech companies like Facebook, Google and Microsoft were still some of the top employers of tech talent January – June 2022.”

Overall, 96% of the top 50 companies for tech job postings in the table below increased hiring from 2021 to 2022.

“The competition for tech talent remains fierce, as organizations across industries recruit candidates to support continued digital transformation efforts, product innovation and the building and management of systems and data infrastructure,” states the report. “It will be important for employers to keep a pulse on two things: what candidates are looking for from their next opportunity and what your competition is doing to recruit tech talent (so you can adjust to stand out).”
