McDonough Undergrads Report Record Salaries After Graduation

Georgetown McDonough’s Class of 2022 Grads Mark Record-Breaking Salaries

Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business

The newest Georgetown McDonough employment figures are out, and they appear quite strong this year. Looking at Georgetown’s newly released Undergraduate Employment Report — an annual analysis from the university’s own career center team — the Class of 2025 just set another salary record.

Their average starting pay hit $102,780, edging last year’s $100,733, which was the highest reported salary of any business school. McDonough grads pulled in an average signing bonus just under $10K, which is pretty competitive heading into the next round of rankings.

RISING OUTCOMES & WHERE STUDENTS ARE GOING

All-in-all, McDonough had another strong year in terms of student outcomes. Compared to last year’s numbers, employment within three months of graduation rose from 96.28% to 97%, and the share of students receiving bonuses jumped from 70% to 74%. What’s evident is that finance remains the powerhouse draw with 59% of grads pursuing this field, with consulting close behind (29% of students), as well as grads heading into tech, real estate, accounting, and retail. Among McDonough employers in 2025, you’ll find Bain, BCG, McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, JPMorganChase, Morgan Stanley, Blackstone, PwC, UBS, and more.

A big part of this success stems from McDonough’s robust experiential ecosystem. Ninety‑five percent of students completed at least one internship before graduating, often at the same firms that later hired them full‑time. The school’s Career Treks, Fridays in the Field, industry bootcamps, and the Sophomore Summit give students early exposure to the professional world, while programs like Small Business Corps let them apply their skills in real communities across Washington, D.C. Layer in a powerful alumni network — hailing from companies as different as YouTube, Deloitte, Uber Eats – and you have a formula for sustained success.

The McDonough Career Center sits at the center of this community, offering one‑on‑one coaching, peer advising, mock interviews, and structured pathways that help students figure out not just what they can do, but what they actually want to do.

“Our mission is centered on empowering students to connect who they are with meaningful careers,” says Christy Murray, associate dean and managing director of the center. “With the support of our faculty, alumni, and career coaches, students develop the confidence and preparation to move forward with purpose. We are immensely proud of the Class of 2025 for their accomplishments and for the positive impact they are already making in their careers.”
