Describe your dream Job: My dream job is to be working at Google in Mountain View, CA on a product marketing team supporting a hardware team – ideally the Google Pixel.

Who is your favorite professor? Christina Roberts, my co-op advisor, who guided and mentored me every step of the way by showing me the stepping stones to my dream job. She took me on as a confused sophomore who had no idea what he wanted to do with his life, gave me tons of career advice and guidance, and was one of the greatest influences on my professional career to date.

Where would you like to work after graduation? I had offers from VMware (Palo Alto, CA) and IBM Security (Cambridge, MA) in digital marketing. Proud to say I became an IBMer, starting January 2017 on the Worldwide Performance Marketing team.

What are your long-term professional goals? Become a subject matter expert – I love being the go-to person when people need help, so eventually I’d eventually like to land in a role which would let me do that. I’d also like to try a bit of everything along the way– too many people get sucked into linear career paths, and I think that learning different functions and disciplines helps you become well-rounded and productive.

“I knew I wanted to major in business when…since I was very young, my mom was in pharmaceutical marketing and it always seemed like a really interesting career path.”

“If I didn’t major in business, I would be…an app developer.”

“Before I entered business school, I wish I had known…how in demand computer science degrees are!”

What was the happiest moment of your life? Getting accepted to Northeastern, specifically the NU.in program which sent me to Australia for my freshman fall semester.

Which academic, extracurricular or personal achievement are you most proud of?  Having the communications program I ran for the Northeastern University Marketing Association being recognized by the American Marketing Association for Excellence in Communications for 2 years in a row. And also being selected for this list!

What animal would you choose to represent your professional brand? An Otter: loves to laugh, curious, enthusiastic and compassionate.

Who would you most want to thank for your success? I’d like to thank my parents for providing me with love, support, guidance and instilling the value of a hard day’s work, especially when it brings you 1 step closer to your goals.

What would you like your business school peers to say about you after you graduate from this program?  I would like them to say that was ambitious and had a good work ethic, but still emphasized teamwork when driving towards a common goal.

What made Jeremy such an invaluable addition to the Class of 2017?

“Jeremy Goldstein is invaluable for the example he set to his classmates and to the younger students he successfully mentored as an upperclassman in a variety of leadership roles.  He is self-driven, ethical and ambitious and his constant search for, and acquisition of industry knowledge was a valuable asset to the employers he worked for as well as to his professors.  I have no doubt that he will be a business leader and pioneer himself in the future – setting trends that are emulated by his colleagues and studied  in classrooms across the country.”
