2022 Report Card: How Alums Grade Their B-School Experience

How would you appraise the effectiveness of the business program’s academic advising?

Academic advising can be an underrated component of business education. Yes, all schools have some sort of academic advising program and it’s kind of expected. But having a solid academic advisor who guides students into the right classes and path can be invaluable. This year, Wake Forest University topped the category with a 9.28 average. Georgia Tech’s Scheller College of Business followed with a 9.22. And Georgetown University and Texas Christian University followed, each earning a 9.13. Last year, Georgia Tech topped the list with a score of 9.31. In 2020, Bucknell University was first, also earning a 9.31. The leading score in 2019 was 9.41 from the University of Pittsburgh’s College of Business.

Overall, the average of 8.12 across all schools was slightly lower than last year’s 8.13. It’s also another downward trend from 2020’s 8.21 and 8.34 in 2019.
