Report Card: How Alums Grade Their B-School Experience

Student recruiting gets earlier and earlier

Evaluate how well the business program prepared you for the world of work.

Let’s be real. Finding a good job immediately after graduation is a high priority for the majority of business majors. Whether it’s making an impact and contribution to society or making a bunch of money or both, students from top business schools are looking to enter some of the world’s largest and most influential firms immediately after graduation. So being prepared to enter that world of work is important.

This year, Bucknell graduates rated their school highest in terms of how the business program prepared them for the world of work with a 9.50 average. Following Bucknell is Northeastern with 9.49, which isn’t surprising considering Northeastern’s required co-op program that places students in six-month paid work experiences. At 8.76, the overall average is lower than the previous two years (8.85 last year and 8.82 the previous year). Overall, 31 schools of the 83 with the minimum response rate had a score of at least 9.0. That rate is lower than last year’s 38 schools out of 88.
