How well did the extra-curricular opportunities offered to you in the business program nurture and improve your skills in business?

Extra-curricular clubs and activities are not only a way to get involved on campus and create a community and friends — they can also look good on resumes or lead to networking opportunities. If done right, they can also help develop extra skills that might not be addressed in depth in the classroom like work with cryptocurrencies or within fintech. This year, alums from Cornell University’s Dyson School rated their extra-curricular activities the best in terms of improving their business skills with a 9.37 average. Cornell was followed by Wharton (9.26) and North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler School (9.22).

Compared to last year, the highest score is much lower than Seton Hall’s 9.7. But is more akin to the leading score from two years ago, which was 9.22 from New York University’s Stern School of Business. Across all schools, the average this year was 8.44, which was lower than last year’s rate of 8.6 but higher than two years ago when it was 8.44.
