How would you appraise the effectiveness of the business program’s career advising?
Similar to academic advising, career advising can be an underrated aspect of the business education experience. And similar to this year’s scores in academic advising, Georgia Tech claimed the top spot with a 9.47 score, which is higher than last year’s top score of 9.31 from Bucknell. It was also higher than in 2019 when Virginia’s McIntire and The College of William & Mary led with 9.4. Rounding out the top three were Indiana Kelley (9.06), the University of the Pacific (9.06), and Southern Methodist (8.96). It was one of the biggest score discrepancies between first and the rest of the schools we’ve seen in the five years of conducting these surveys.
This year’s average was 7.97, which is down from last year’s 8.11 average and 8.32 in 2019. Only three schools had an average of at least 9.0, which was even down from last year when it was six.
